Sunday 5 February – snow disruption

Commenting on the disruption to several airports following the heavy snowfall, Darren Caplan, Chief Executive of the Airport Operators Association said:

"Around half a dozen UK airports have been affected by the snow this weekend.

"Airports have responded well by putting their snow plans into action. Some flights will be cancelled to ensure that delays and disruption are kept to a minimum.

"People due to fly today or tomorrow should contact their airline or airport direct. We also advise passengers to check travel conditions to airports as roads and rail services have also been affected by the weather conditions."
