Airport Operators Association response to EU Airports Package ground-handling vote

Responding to the news that the European Parliament Plenary has voted at First Reading to pass the ground-handling portion of the Airports Package, Darren Caplan, Chief Executive of the Airport Operators Association (AOA), said:

“We’re pleased that the Plenary has decided to support the ground-handling proposals, and we hope that the Package as a whole can proceed through the rest of the legislative process. The Airport Operators Association continues to support the Package on balance, as we believe that airports and passengers will gain from some of the reforms, which will support UK connectivity and economic growth, and enhance airport performance across Europe”.
