New AOA TV programme announced – to premiere at AOA Conference on 10-11 November 2014

A new Airport Operators Association (AOA) TV programme has been announced, following the success of the AOA’s initial collaboration with Independent Television News.

The launch programme was a huge success, featuring interviews with Sir Howard Davies, Chair of the Airports Commission, and Aviation Minister Robert Goodwill MP along with profiles on organisations such as NATS, Bristol Airport, Lafarge Tarmac and Vanderlande.

Presented from ITN’s studio complex in central London by Natasha Kaplinksy, the new programme will harness the global newsgathering capabilities of this renowned national news organisation.

Called “Airport Matters”, 2014′s AOA programme will focus on the innovations, inspiring leadership, and drive for success at all of our airports during this unprecedented era of transformation of the UK’s airspace. It’s an opportunity for the industry to provide a single powerful voice and to demonstrate how all parts of the sector are working together. The programme will cover the developments in sustainable aviation, the best solutions for Air Passenger Duty (APD), airspace capacity and how airports are meeting ever higher passenger expectations. We’ll report on the myriad of companies supporting and facilitating this vital element of our transportation system, from the new technological innovations to the true value airports bring to their local communities and workforce.

The programme will premiere at the AOA’s Annual Conference on 10-11 November 2014 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, London, with planned contributions from Sir Howard Davies, Robert Goodwill MP, Shadow Transport Secretary Mary Creagh MP, and AOA Chairman Ed Anderson.
