AOA welcomes new Transport Scotland Delivery Plan

Commenting on the publication of Transport Scotland’s National Transport Strategy: Third Delivery Plan, a spokesperson for the Airport Operators Association said:

“We are really pleased to see the Transport Scotland annual delivery plan today, which notes that aviation connectivity is ‘essential for inbound tourism, business and the economy as a whole’, and so it is committed to working with airports to help develop routes whilst delivering the Government’s carbon plans.

“What we need to see now from Scottish Government is decisions and actions on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).  They need to move from ‘carefully examining’ incentives for producing and using SAF in Scotland, as phrased in the document, to implementing it – Scotland has an opportunity now that should not be missed.”
