At the AOA Annual Conference on 30-31 October at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, the country’s aviation industry will come together to discuss the important issues facing the sector in the years ahead. It is the only such event in the UK aviation calendar that brings together all the main industry players under one roof, together with an exciting line-up of political speakers.

The agenda will be published shortly but it is expected to include discussions on the forthcoming Aviation Strategy, the importance of airspace modernisation, how tourism and aviation can work together to ensure the Industrial Strategy supports the whole travel sector and the impact of Brexit on aviation, including aviation safety regulation, borders and UK airlines’ right to fly to EU destinations.

The Conference & Exhibition is targeted at senior representatives from the UK airports sector together with government officials and regulators, executives and managers from across the aviation and travel industries as well as the media.

Places can be booked by visiting the AOA Annual Conference website at: www.aoaannualconference.com.

Chief Executive of the AOA, Karen Dee said:

“This year’s AOA Annual Conference takes place at an important time for the industry. With EU exit negotiations now under way and the Government having set out its plans for creating a new Aviation Strategy, the Conference will be an opportunity to discuss and shape the future of the UK airports and aviation industry.

“It will be a prime opportunity to set out how aviation can enable the UK’s global outlook by providing the connectivity necessary for forging links across the world. This will require important decisions, ranging from how we will meet increasing demands on airport capacity across the UK; the legal framework for our flights to the EU and other countries after Brexit; to ensuring Air Passenger Duty is a competitive compared to neighbouring countries.

“Our excellent speakers, both from Westminster and across the aviation and travel industries, will set out their views and lead us into two days of fascinating debate.”
